Rain? Try POURING rain! I'd love to say that it was another beautiful day at Run for Renee but in fact, quite the opposite and the runners still came out anyway. Tons of rain and wind but with some incredible times.

Starting with the ladies, the Beast is back to her old ways and Sacha Hourihan laid down a great time to take the win in 18:57. In second place, an up-and-coming star, Claire Wilbur ran her very first Run for Renee in a time of 22:45. In third place and no stranger to the running scene, Connie Coffin ran a 23:18.

For the men, a new runner to Run for Renee but a seasoned runner, Grant Handrigan finished first with an incredible time of 16:28. In second place and also a new runner to this race, Martin White stopped the clock at 17:26. In third place, Cody Jenkins got a Run for Renee pb of 11 seconds with a time of 18:14.

I'd like to do a shout out to two very young kids who ran in that pouring rain. Congratulations to 12-year-old Charlie Walker for running a pb of 23:01 and to 7-year-old Quinn O'Hara who ran her first Runfor Renee in 34:50 in her very first Run for Renee. Two young stars right there.

Congratulations and big thanks to all of you who came out despite the wind and rain and also to my incredible volunteers. Thank you to Lily and Alex for taking care of the registrations at their store in King Square and to JTR porta potty services for their great service.

Next month is the East Coast Games edition which is double points and we will be offering age group medals. We invite you to sign up.
